[Video Release] Symposium “Toward Practical Dialog among the Three Major Religions: A Comparative Study of Buddhism, Islam, and Christianity”

A Zoom video of the hybrid symposium “Toward Practical Dialog among the Three Major Religions: A Comparative Study of Buddhism, Islam, and Christianity,” held at Ryukoku University, Omiya Campus on Saturday, March 1, 2025, is available exclusively on the YouTube channel of the Research Center for World Buddhist Cultures (RCWBC).
In this symposium, four experts were invited to summarize the final year of the designated research project by the Research Institute for International Society and Culture, “Intercultural Understanding and Multicultural Coexistence: Comparative Religious Studies toward Practical Dialog between Buddhism, Christianity, and Islam” (representative: Professor Tosei Sano, Faculty of International Studies, Ryukoku University). The symposium was co-hosted with the Research Center for World Buddhist Cultures (RCWBC), with the Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research (C): A Comparative Religious Study on the Practical Mystical Thought of Rumi (representative: Professor Sano). The symposium also served to commemorate the publication of a new book written by the three speakers, entitled Buddhism, Islam, and Christianity: Resonance of Prayer and Thought (co-authored and co-edited by Professor Mitsuya Dake (Faculty of International Studies, Ryukoku University) and Professor Sano).
